What if I live out of state and need a copy of my birth certificate? Can a family member come in and get a copy for me?

Yes, but it has to be a parent, grandparent or sibling, otherwise you will have to order it from the state website or come to Missouri.

What if my social security card and birth certificate were stolen or lost? Can you replace both of them or just the birth certificate?

Just the birth certificate here, you will have to go to the Jefferson City or Columbia social security office for your social security card. You will need a photo ID and $15.00 cash if you are born in the state of Missouri for a new birth certificate.
