Vaccine Services at Callaway County Health Department

The Callaway County Health Department offers vaccinations through the Vaccines for Children and Vaccines for Adults program. The health department also offers options to bill private insurance companies or self-pay.

Vaccines for Children Program

The Vaccines for Children (VFC) program provides immunizations to children who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have Medicaid or are Medicaid-eligible
  • Do not have health insurance
  • Are underinsured (health insurance does not cover some or all vaccines)
  • Are American Indian or Alaskan Native

An administration fee is asked for vaccines provided through the VFC program, but the immunization will not be denied for VFC-eligible children due to an inability to pay.

Self-Pay

Please contact our office for more information and pricing.

    Vaccines for Adults Program

The Vaccines for Adults (VFA) program provides immunizations to adults who meet one of the following criteria:

    • Do not have health insurance
    • Are underinsured (health insurance does not cover some or all vaccines)

An administration fee will be charged, due at time of service.

    Private Insurance

Through a partnership with VaxCare, we are able to provide vaccines to children and adults. A current insurance card is required at time of service. Fee is dependent on insurance coverage.

    Vaccine Schedules

We follow the recommended vaccine schedules provided by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for both children and adults. These schedules outline the vaccines recommended at different ages to provide optimal protection against vaccine-preventable diseases.
